12 Marathons For Cystic Fibrosis

About Us

We are Alan Mullin and Darren O’Connell both from Shannon in Co. Clare. We set up the Twelve Marathons project to raise as much money as we can to help aid Cystic Fibrosis care in Ireland.

We are intending to run a marathon a month for the duration of 2008. We will also run a limited number of shorter races around Ireland as part of our on-going training and fund-raising.

Our challenge began at midnight on New Year’s Eve in Zurich and all going well will end in Lisbon in December.

Join Us

Open Invitation

We would like to extend an open invitation to anyone who may be interested in joining us for a marathon or marathons along the way. It would help us raise much needed funds and the company of fellow runners would always be welcome.

Alternatively, if you would prefer a shorter distance you can join us for those marathon events that incorporate a half marathon. We will also be running a limited number of shorter distance runs around the country as part of continues training and fund raising.
